This project revitalized a historic Fort Greene townhome, blending old-world craftsmanship with modern functionality. The design restored the home’s timeless charm while enhancing its livability, honoring its late-19th-century origins.

A reconfiguration of the ground floor created a serene bedroom, a cozy den, and a functional office, while the parlor vestibule and staircase were meticulously restored. Subtle kitchen updates, like a new backsplash and range, balanced contemporary convenience with historic character, and the reimagined bathroom echoed this thoughtful approach.

Preserving original details like the tin ceiling and decorative floor patterns, the finishes embraced the textured imperfections of age. This restoration celebrates the layered history of an old house, where design becomes a form of storytelling.
